Nvidia News [Feb 26, 2023]

Nvidia (NVDA) investors saw the stock closing +7.60% the last 5 days, which means it sits at +62.67% YTD.

Let's go through the news around Nvidia this week together.

LEGEND: Positive News | Neutral News | Negative News

1. EARNINGS SUMMARY

Nvidia reported their earnings on February 22 after market close. Here's the summary:

  • Revenue BEAT $6.05B (-20.8% YoY)
  • Non-GAAP EPS BEAT $0.88
  • Guidance Revenue $6.50B (versus $6.32B expected)

Nvidia surprised investors (to the upside) with a triple beat - beat last quarter revenue and EPS and next quarter guidance. The AI boom is helping fuel a decent year for 2023 as well. Investors were pleased with results.

2. MICROSOFT PARTNERSHIP

Nvidia and Microsoft have signed a 10 year partnership agreement. This will allow Xbox games (including ones part of the Activision-Blizzard buyout) to be available on Nvidia's GeForce NOW cloud gaming platform.

This strengthens Nvidia's cloud gaming offering and creates a partnership with one of the most dominant companies in the world.

3. NVIDIA IN MOBILE?

We have a piece of rumor to end off the week on MediaTek and Nvidia. There's speculation that in an upcoming MediaTek smartphone SoC, Nvidia will have their GPU integrated.

If true, this would be a huge step into mobile for Nvidia who continues to expand their reach and grow their TAM.
